When Dave says he likes people and wants to help them achieve their goals, it’s easy to believe. It shows through his friendly and engaging personality. He takes his work very seriously. “Buying a home is usually the most important investment that a person will make in their lives,” says Dave.Dave Epprecht founded RealtyQuest in 2004 after working ten years as a licensed real estate salesperson at other firms. “I loved the business, and like most realtors, love property and homes, but I had ideas of how to make the experience for the customer better and, at the same time, create a more appealing working environment for agents,” Epprecht says. The open, friendly and transparent culture of RealtyQuest reflects those qualities in its founder. “We have incentives to entice our agents to work in cooperation with each other, as well as a strong cultural bias toward teamwork.” Customers find that behind the agent they choose to do business with at RealtyQuest, there is a team of people well versed in that customer’s listing or purchase who help nurse each deal through to completion. “Teamwork is a competitive advantage for us because we share information to help our customers get what they need, whenever they need it.” Dave went into sales immediately after graduating from the University of Connecticut. He was in trade show sales when he was recruited into the real estate field. The entrepreneurial bug had bitten even then, and he hoped to put in his time learning the business with an eye to opening his own shop someday. “The most satisfying part of running RealtyQuest,” he asserts, “is seeing my agents achieve the goals they have set for themselves by succeeding for their clients. Our agents facilitate transactions. If we provide our customers with the information they need to make good decisions, chances are that we will have a successful transaction and a happy customer.” Epprecht is there as owner/broker to back up his agents on any transaction or negotiation in which he might be needed. He runs weekly meetings in which agents share best practices and review common issues that arise as market conditions change. He is talking to his agents and many of the firm’s clients every day. Dave believes that small businesses can be more nimble and responsive to changes in the marketplace and in customer needs than larger companies. “We are constantly on the cutting edge, using the Internet and computer software to obtain and share information with each other and with our customers.” He is especially facile with computers and technology himself, and takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer as well as Chief Marketing Officer. “Wearing all those hats and seeing your own vision take shape in the form of successful agents and satisfied customers,” he says, “ that’s what it is all about.” Dave lives in Rowayton, CT with his wife of 17 years, their two teenage children and two dogs. Testimonials“Just a note to thank you so much for your patience, professionalism and negotiation in the purchase of my new home. I really appreciate all that you did to help me through such a stressful time.” We are so pleased we contracted our house sale with you and RealtyQuest. I also had to let you know that you are the only real estate broker who remembered us as a client this holiday season. We hope you and your business is doing well – no slow down. Thanks for caring’ “Thanks for your help in marketing our home. Coming from a commercial real estate background I was very pleasantly surprised by your excellent service. David exceeded my expectations in service, diligence, and professionalism throughout the home selling process. I cannot complain about our obtaining a sales price of $35,000 more for the house than the other two competing brokers wanted to offer my home for! I am completely pleased with the excellent handling and the final result of our overall home sale. Feel free to offer me as a reference, as I would strongly recommend you to other customers. ” |
